The Queens University of Belfast (QUB) Seidokan Club was founded in 1993 and has established itself as one of the most successful and progressive university clubs in Ireland and the United Kingdom. We are a multi-style Club and train in traditional Japanese and Okinawan martial arts and 'progressive' self defence systems.

The Seidokan is a martial arts organisation that promotes the development of martial arts throughout Ireland and further afield.
Members of the Seidokan represent a diverse variety of traditional martial arts and modern self defence and combat sport discplines, including;
Ju Jutsu / Aiki Jutsu
Karate
Toide / Tuite
Goshin Jutsu
Kobudo
Iaido
The Seidokan empasises traditional martial arts whilst embracing modern applications and innovations.
Members of the QUB Seidokan Club are encouraged to develop their holistic appreciation of the martial arts.
Competition at the highest levels: The QUB Seidokan Club is a member of ONAKAI - the ALL IRELAND GOVERNING BODY for Karate. Seidokan is also a member of the WCJJO - WORLD COUNCIL OF JU JITSU ORGANISATIONS.

January 2010 - QUB Seidokan Hombu (Headquarters) will move to the NEW Shaftesbury Centre in South Belfast.
